Rakesh Singh, B.Com (Hons), FCMA, FIV, MIMA, MICA)

Practicing in the professional field of Cost Accounting and Indirect Taxation for over 29 years, he has keen interest in various fields and represents various professional bodies in the area of Accounting, Taxation, Valuation, Corporate Governance, CSR etc.He is based in New Delhi and operates form New Delhi Branch office.

A Fellow member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, he was Chairman of the Governance and Audit Committee (GAC) of the Confederation of the Asia and Pacific Accountants (CAPA) during 2014 to 2017. He is a member of the All India Management Association and ...(MICA).

He was the President of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India during 2012-13. He also held the Chairmanship of the Cost Accounting Standards Board of the Institute during 2011 to 2013 and played a premier role in bringing out the "Generally Accepted Cost Accounting Principles" (GACAP), a first of its kind compilation by a CMA body in the world. He was also instrumental in finalizing six Cost Accounting Standards and number of Guidance Notes.

Currently he is the Presiding Officer of the Board of Discipline as nominated by the Council of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and also represented the Institute in various Committees. He also holds the position of the Co-Chairman of ASSOCHAM [UP Affairs] and represents ASSOCHAM on regional Advisory committee on labour and employment, Ministry of Labour and & Employment. He is an Independent Director with MRIL and Advisor of the Emerging Business Chamber of Commerce.

He is also a Fellow member of the Institute of Valuers, member of Indian Council of Arbitration, member Indirect Taxes Committee & Corporate Affairs Committee of PHDCI, member of GRI South-Asia Advisory Group. He has been nominee on various bodies like Government Accounting Standards board (GASAB), International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA), National Foundation for Corporate Governance (NFCG) and member of the India Netherland Joint Working Group on Corporate Governance and CSR.
